In the post-genomic era, data generation is no longer the limiting factor for advancing biological research. The challenge lies in:

  1. Data integration
  2. Data analysis
  3. Data visualization

As the Coordinator of Computational Studies in the department of Biology, my goal is to develop a rigorous curriculum that will train our students in the rapidly evolving era of Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, and Systems Biology.

For a list of courses that I teach, please see here: Teaching

I have also developed a workshop for training Faculty and Postdoctoral fellows: nyu-hits-bioinformatics-workshop

Thanks to funding from Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, I have also had the opportunity to train African Scientists in Nairobi, Kenya
